EESFC had the opportunity to collaborate with the US Safety Foundation at the 2021 NAEC convention in New Orleans. The US Foundation offered us the opportunity to share their booth space and help at their desert reception.
The show was smaller this year, but it gave Laurie Duett (EESF) and Alison Whittaker (EESFC) the opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with current and potential donors. With Covid putting a long delay on reaching out to potential donors, this was a great opportunity to get our mission out there to more people.
NAEC gave the Foundation the event space to have a desert reception on the Wednesday evening. This brought out old friends, new acquaintances and people who are genuinely passionate about the Safety Foundation. Cornelius Walls Chairman of the US Foundation spoke at the reception about getting back out there to educate children and thanked all donors for their contributions to help make this happen! He also mentioned Canada coming down to help the cause, which was a nice gesture to the Canadian Foundation. This is just the beginning of great things to come!
